Dave d...@beepbeep.com microsoft public windows vista general I'm no smart guy, because I don't have an answer. But it's probably because those formats are very old. I found where in Jan '06 MS issued a security patch for wmf files in Vista, so maybe they are afraid it could be a security problem.

WMF had already been fixed in Vista, the patch was made available out to Microsoft testers who had a much earlier build in their test labs etc.
